What is Technical Writing?

The purpose of this reading assignment is to inform the readers about what Technical Writing really is. Technical writing is creating something that the audience can understand. You want to have something that not only can everybody read it but they can also understand it. For this to always work, you may have to break the piece down into simpler terms for certain audiences. In this passage there is also a great metaphor that links technical writing and cake. To be truthful it is actually unusual because I don’t know if cake would be the item I would compare it to.

The other part of the document went into detail of how to approach the technical writing. It is stated that language is important. It enables the reader to understand because you do not want the reader to be lost. The info should be presented clearly and consistent to be effective. Credibility and professionalism are what is sought after.
