Dear Mr. Hudson:

I recently came across an online job search that your company is looking for new architects to intern for Morris Architects. In May 2009, I plan to receive my Bachelors of Science in Architecture and I believe that Morris Architects would provide the best place for me to complete an internship with. I have all of the necessary credentials and background to where I will become an asset to the company in a very short time.

The Morris Architects projects are exceedingly familiar to me, and my ambition is to work for a company of your caliber. Having the chance to work for a distinguished company, which does high profile projects such as the Toyota Center would be an honor. If given the opportunity, my computer skills and architectural education will reap huge benefits for the company. As you can see from my resume, I have held several leadership positions and have an in depth knowledge of architecture.

I would appreciate the opportunity to speak to you in person, so that I may answer any questions you may have for me. In the next seven to ten days I will be in contact with your office to inquire on the status of my application. I look forward to talking to you soon. Thank you for your consideration.

Cordially,

Ricky D. Sherfield Jr.
