Reflection
The overall process of researching for a job was a good one. It was an excellent experience because it provided me with the chance to practice searching for a job that I some day plan to have. I now know the process and what it is like. I have a feel of what it is going to really be like when I actually have to search for a job in a few years. During this process I didn’t have many surprises but I did run into a few difficulties. One of the difficulties was that it was hard to find an internship for a career related to my field which I was actually qualified for. Because of the fact that I couldn’t find many internships for me I was forced to choose the only one in my possession. This meant that I didn’t get to choose the location or company or anything. Even though I didn’t see a variety of job offers, I was satisfied with the one I had. I liked what the company had done so far and the location.
The work that I constructed for this assignment was to obtain a job or position by which I appealed to my target. I made all of my information presentable and I also made myself look desirable. This way I could leave a long lasting impression on the target and then possibly receive a job.
For this assignment I believe that I accomplished many of the goals for this class. For example, one of the many goals that I completed was designing convincible and usable documents. Both my cover letter and my resume were both documents which could have created the opportunity for me to be hired. Another goal that I meet was problem solving and improving situations through communication. With some of my peers in my class we worked together to determine the best and correct way to do the assignment. The big one would be the cover letter. This was rather tricky to discuss with my peers, however we got it worked out.
